Lufthansa Group subsidiary carrier Eurowings Europe operated its first flight to Dublin on Sunday 2 April as 9H-EXQ Airbus A319-132 msn 4256 operated EWG9394/5 (ATC Callsign EUX1XP/2UX) to and from Dusseldorf.
The official owner of the new airline is not Lufthansa directly, but Irish Lhamih Ltd established and based in Dublin in November 2014. The latter company acts as a holding company within the Lufthansa Group.
Eurowings Europe are two low-cost airlines registered in Austria and Malta. They are a subsidiary of Lufthansa and sister companies of the German Eurowings, operating a fleet of 20 Airbus A320 family aircraft, with operating bases Palma, Salzburg, Stockholm Arlanda and Vienna.
