German Aviation website Skyliner Aviation, reported EC-MTB Airbus A319-111 msn 1684 Volotea ‘VOE850’ positioned Verona to Ireland West Airport 22 October for part-out & scrap, arriving 1522 local.

According to Planespotters the airframe is 22.7 years old delivered in February 2002 to US carrier Frontier Airlines as N906FR named ‘Andy the Pronghorn Antelop’ on lease from Shannon based company GECAS, until December 2016.

In December 2016 the aircraft was placed on Irish registry as EI-FXN registered to GECAS to May 2017. The aircraft subsequently leased to Volotea, In December 2017 was re-registered as EC-MTB and withdrawn from use on 8 October, 2024.
