United Airlines has increased capacity on its Dublin-Newark Liberty International Airport route, effective Friday, 31 January. The airline is deploying a 276-seat Boeing 777-200(ER) on its daily UAL23/2 service, replacing the previously used 231-seat Boeing 767-400. This aircraft upgrade will provide an additional 630 seats per week, enhancing options for travellers flying between the two cities year-round.

The Boeing 777-200(ER) features 50 all-aisle-access United Polaris business class seats, 24 United Premium Plus premium economy seats, 46 Economy Plus seats, and 156 economy seats.

Additionally, United will operate a second seasonal frequency between Dublin and Newark from March 29 to October 24, 2025. This flight will be serviced by a Boeing 757-200(ER), which offers 176 seats, including 16 flat-bed United Polaris business class seats and 160 economy seats. The economy section will feature 42 Economy Plus seats, providing extra legroom and increased personal space.

Looking ahead to the summer season of 2025, United plans to serve over 150 destinations in 45 countries from Newark. The Newark hub remains the airline’s largest transatlantic gateway, with planned service to 38 destinations across Europe, India, Africa, and the Middle East.
