The Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA), announced the appointment of Dr. Seán T. Ruane as new President of the Board for a one-year term.
TTRA Executive Director, Kathy Palmer said “We are excited to welcome Dr. Seán T. Ruane as the new President of TTRA. His extensive academic background and hands-on industry experience make him an invaluable asset. We look forward to his leadership in advancing our mission of promoting high-quality travel and tourism research globally.”
Dr Sean Ruane, a renowned academic with a Ph.D. in Tourism and a Master’s in Hospitality Management from Dublin Institute of Technology, brings significant expertise to TTRA. He is a lecturer at Shannon College of Hotel Management and Associate Head of the School for Research & Community Engagement, leading the Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management program at the Seychelles Tourism Academy.
The TTRA is the leading advocate for higher travel and tourism-related research, analysis, and marketing standards, will hold 2025 Annual Conference in The Galmont Hotel, Galway, Ireland, from June 23rd to 25th.
