Ryanair’s biggest ever summer schedule commenced at Ireland West Airport with flights to 16 destinations across the UK and Europe, operating 120 weekly flights, a 15% increase on 2022.
Ireland West Airport reporting Ryanair carried record passenger numbers, during the month of April, on its services to Edinburgh, Liverpool and Milan and reported very strong passenger numbers on their sun services to Alicante, Faro, Malaga, Palma and on its brand-new weekly service to Lanzarote.
Ryanair have Increased frequencies on 5 UK routes, adding an extra 40,000+ seats on routes to Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Liverpool and Manchester for the summer season.
The carrier is increasingly deploying its growing fleet of new Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 ‘Gamechanger’ aircraft on routes from Ireland West Airport to Alicante, East Midlands, Edinburgh, London Stansted and Malaga.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 is fitted with 197 economy class seats 4% more than the 737-800 with enhanced cabin configuration with Boeing Sky Interior, LED lighting and larger pivoting overhead stowage bins . Th aircraft operates with a 16% lower fuel consumption per seat than the 737-800 aircraft with a 40% lower noise footprint.
