Irish budget carrier Ryanair has taken delivery of 15 Boeing 737-800s since September 2014 of aircraft purchased under Boeing contracts for 183 aircraft with the balance of aircraft to be delivered on a phased basis over a five year period.
The new aircraft will enable the airline to open more routes and additional frequencies on existing routes for summer 2015.
As of 30th May 2015 , 15 Boeing 737-800 aircraft where delivered, eleven during fiscal year ended 31 March 2015, and four since fiscal year 2016 commenced 31st March , with a further six by end of July and 28 aircraft between September 2015 and March 2016.
Ryanair operates the largest all-Boeing fleet in Europe, with more than 313 737-800s in service. It is also the biggest customer for the aircraft type, ordering more than 530 737-800s throughout its history.
