Ryanair, celebrated over 20 million passengers through Cork Airport since it began operations to/from Cork in 1987. Ryanair has a proud history in regional Ireland and was the first low-cost airline to operate at Cork Airport.
The carrier has grown from a single route to/from London Luton to a base operation with four Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8200 ‘Gamechanger’ aircraft operating 33 routes to 9 countries across Europe.
Ryanair’s Head of Communications, Jade Kirwan said “We are proud to mark this milestone of over 20 million passengers through Cork Airport. This significant milestone resounds Ryanair’s continued growth and investment at Cork Airport – an investment of over $400m, as well as supporting over 120 highly paid aviation jobs and over 1,700 local jobs at Cork Airport.”
This Summer Ryanair is operating its biggest ever schedule at Cork Airport with almost 300 weekly flights across 33 routes, including 5 new routes to Barcelona, Brussels Charleroi, Paris Beauvais, Rhodes and Zadar.
