Ryanair announced a new route from Haugesund to Zadar operating twice weekly from 1st April 2013 on Mondays and Fridays and expects to carry 20,000 passenger on the route becoming its seventh destination from Haugesund.
Ryanair’s Nordic Sales & Marketing Manager Elina Hakkarainen said “Ryanair is delighted to launch a new summer route to the sun from Haugesund to Zadar in Croatia. In addition to this new route will all Ryanair’s summer routes from 2012 continue next year so that Ryanair will fly 7 low cost flights from Haugesund to Alicante, Bremen, London, Malaga, Mallorca, Pisa and Zadar”.
Haugesund Airport serves the city of Haugesund with a population of 48,987 people in the County of Rogaland , has a strong historical bond to the sea and especially the herring. Each August, The Norwegian Trad-jazz festival the Sildajazz a mix concerts, jazz music, a street parade, children’s parade, sildajazz markets is held has grown in recent years to become one of the two biggest jazz festivals in Norway.
Ryanair operates London Stansted to Haugesund year round three times weekly and seasonal summer service from Alicante, Bremen, Malaga, Palma and Pisa Florence and Zadar.
