Irish budget carrier Ryanair has announced further expansion of its Dublin route network for Winter 2022 launching two new routes effective from 30th October to Genoa (Italy) and Rovaniemi (Finland) both operating twice weekly, using a mix of Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-8200 aircraft . Rovaniemi is Ryanair’s first route from Dublin to Finland.
Ryanair Marketing Director Dara Brady stated “As Europe’s no. 1 airline, Ryanair is delighted to announce an exciting new Winter route to Genoa which will operate twice weekly starting this winter. The opening of this new route from Dublin reinforces our commitment to increasing connectivity, travel options, and inbound tourism to Dublin and Ireland”.
Genoa (Genoa) is the capital of northwest Italy’s Liguria region and the sixth-largest city in Italy. The historical center, also known as old town, of Genoa is one of the largest and most-densely populated in Europe, part of it was also inscribed on the World Heritage List (UNESCO) in 2006 as Genoa: Le Strade Nuove and the system of the Palazzi dei Rolli. Genoa’s historical city centre is also known for its narrow lanes and streets that the locals call “caruggi”.
Rovaniemi is the capital of Lapland and is the official airport of Santa Claus, in northern Finland, and is one of the most northerly airports in Finland, the Arctic Circle crosses runway closer to its northern end. The Santa Claus Holiday Village is located at the heart of Santa Claus Village in the Arctic Circle conveniently located less than two miles form airport.
