ITA Airways debuted its first Irish registered Airbus A320neo EI-INB msn 11261 on Monday 20th February operating from Rome Fiumicino to Palermo (PMO) as ITY1781/2.
The aircraft is named ‘Francesco Moser’ after the extraordinary Italian cyclist of the 1970s and 1980s. The aircraft will be deployed on the carrier’s short and medium haul route network.
ITA Airways headquarted in Rome Fiumicino with a base in operates a fleet of 59 Irish registered Airbus aircraft including Airbus A220-300, Airbus A320ceo family, Airbus A330-200s and Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
This year the carrier plans to take delivery of 39 new aircraft including nine Airbus A330-900’s.
