Irish Air Corps announced via its official Facebook page 12 April that several of its historical aircraft will be on loan to the Shannon Aviation Museum , such as the Marchetti, Vampire and Provost. In addition to the aircraft many of the existing exhibits will include rare and historic engines, propellers, models, photographs and photographic equipment.
Irish Air Corps General Officer Commanding Officer Brig Gen Rory O’Connor, said “We are thrilled to support the Shannon Aviation Museum by loaning some of our historical aircraft. This collaboration not only allows us to showcase our aviation legacy but also contributes to the vibrant aviation culture in Ireland.”
Shannon Aviation Museum Chair Jane Magill ,said “We are honoured to display the Irish Air Corps collection at Shannon Aviation Museum. We very much look forward to future collaboration while continuing to raise awareness of the Irish Air Corps, the valuable work they do and the diverse career opportunities within the organisation to our visitors.”
