Mongolian carrier Hunnu Air has taken delivery of its first Embraer 195-E2 aircraft, registered EI-HUN (msn 19020171). The delivery follows the recent issuance of the type acceptance certificate by the Mongolian Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA), authorizing operation of  aircraft type.

The aircraft was delivered between April 16–18, routing São José dos Campos (Brazil) through Recife, Las Palmas, Tekirdağ, and Almaty, before arriving at Ulaanbaatar’s Chinggis Khaan International Airport.

EI-HUN is the first of two Embraer 195-E2s set to join the airline’s fleet. The addition of the E2 is expected to significantly boost Hunnu Air’s regional connectivity, with plans to expand its route network to key Asia-Pacific markets, including China, India, Japan, and South Korea.

Hunnu Air CEO Munkhjargal Purevjal stated “We’ve been an E190 operator since 2019 and the E195-E2 is the perfect extension as we meet growing demand for air travel across Mongolia and beyond. These new generation aircraft will allow us to increase capacity to Haikou, Sanya, and Phu Quoc, expand services to Japan, China, Vietnam, India and South Korea, and introduce scheduled flights to Tashkent. We’re thankful for the support of Azorra and Embraer as the E2 will be integral to our long-term growth.”
