Romanian airline Dan Air headquartered in Bucharest launched 12 December a new twice weekly service (Tuesday, Saturday) from “George Enescu” Bacău International Airport to Dublin using Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
The carrier commenced regular passenger flight operations under its own brand in June 2023, after previously operating ACMI and charter flights flights with its own aircraft for various other airlines since its foundation at the end of 2017.
The first service was operated by YR-DSE Airbus A320-232 msn 2479 has an Irish connection. The aircraft was delivered to Spanair in 2005 as EC-JJD until the carrier ceased operations in 2015 and was flown to Dublin for storage in Ferbruary 2015 by lessor ILFC taking up Irish registration EI-EUO prior to lease to Vueling as EC-LRA.
The carrier operates a fleet of three Airbus A319-100 and A320-200 aircraft.
