Dublin based ACMI specialist Cityjet has delivery of the delivery of the second of five CRJ1000 aircraft, to support its growing wet-lease business with Lufthansa.
EI-HID Mitsubishi CRJ-1000EL msn 19024 ferried Copenhagen to Munich as BCY041P on 25 May, entering service next day as DLH2418/9 to and from Stuttgart.
According to Planespotters.net the aircraft was delivered to Brit Air in 2012 as F-HMLN, subequently operated by Air France, HOP, Air France Hop. In 2022 the aircraft was re-registered as F-WTAU and later same year took up marks OE-LIL registered to EIC Aircraft Leasing in Canada. The aircraft was delivered to Cityjet as EI-HID on 12 May 2023.
CityJet operates its CRJ fleet on behalf of SAS and, from summer 2023, Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa and also offers the aircraft in the wet lease and occasionally ad-hoc charter markets.
