Irish ultra low-cost carrier Ryanair has wet-leased extra capacity over the summer season to accommodate increasing passenger numbers before its new Boeing 737-800 aircraft arrive in September.
Two Boeing 737-400s from Air Explore of Slovakia, and two -400s from Ireland’s ACMI specialist Air Contractors. All four -400s will be based at Dublin Airport. Air Explore 737s will operate between 16th June and 15th September, and Air Contractors 737s from 1st July to 31st August.
On Sunday 15th June Air Explore 737-400s OM-AEX Boeing 737-4Y0 construction number 25178 as RYR98P, and OM-CEX Boeing 737-436 construction number 25839 was ferried Bratislava to Dublin as RYR99P. The aircraft operated first flights for Ryanair, to Newcastle and Brussels South Charleroi.

ZS-SRD Boeing 737-4Y0 construction number 24917 Safair ferried Johannesburg-Kotoka-Aguenar-Shannon 14th June for lease to Air Contractors, for operation on behalf of Ryanair. ZS-SRD was cancelled from South African register on 18th June, taking up Irish registration EI-JRD. On 28th June EI-JRD was ferried Shannon to Dublin , in all white colours and entered revenue service 1st July RYR1908/9 to and from Gdansk.
ZS-SRE Boeing 737-4Y0 construction number 26065 Safair Ferried Johannesburg-Kotoka-Aguenar -Shannon 14th June for lease to Air Contractors, for operation on behalf of Ryanair. ZS-SRE was cancelled from South African register on 17th June, taking up Irish registration EI-JRE. On 29th June EI-JRE was ferried Shannon to Dublin on 29th June, in all white colours and entered revenue service 1st July RYR442/3 to and from Liverpool.
