Air Canada resumed passenger flights between Dublin and its hub at Toronto Pearson Airport on Monday 2nd August with the first flight operated by C-FGDT Boeing 787-9 MSN 37171.
The flight ACA800/801 operates three times weekly . The outbound service from Dublin to Toronto will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and the return service from Toronto to Dublin on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Flights are operated with Boeing 787-9 aircraft in a 3 class layout, featuring 30 Air Canada Signature Class, 21 Premium and 247 Economy seats.
Air Canada General Manager Sales, U.K. and Ireland Stephen Gerrard said “We are pleased to resume our service between Dublin and Toronto. Our nonstop service from Dublin provides our customers from Ireland with direct access to Canada and the possibility to connect via our Toronto hub to 40 onward destinations across Canada, USA and Mexico.”
On the 9th July the Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) came into effect creating new opportunities for Irish businesses of all sizes to export to Canada and encouraging more investment between Ireland and Canada. Almost 4.3 million Canadians claim some Irish ancestry.
