Cork Airport based Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA) in an Linkedin post dated 10 January 2025, outlined its key key business milestones for 2024 with expansion and enhancement of its fleet. The arrival of the state-of-the-art Boeing 737 Max simulator and the Slingsby T67, reaffirming AFTA’s dedication to offering world-class aviation training.
AFTA graduates soared to new heights in 2024, launching careers with premier airlines such as Brussels Airlines, Cityjet, Aer Lingus, Emerald Airlines, FlexJet, and Jet2.
AFTA continues to build on its partnerships, Air Astana the partnership continues to thrive with ongoing cadet training programme, ASL Airlines Ireland extending its partnership and the first ASL graduates are preparing for their roles starting March 2025.
Munster Technological University (MTU) it welcomed 20 new students to the BSc (Hons) in Global Business and Pilot Studies, strengthening ties between education and industry and Ryanair renewing its partnership with the launch of the Ryanair Future Flyer Academy, seeing over 60 mentored graduates joining Ryanair.
VistaJet: The first mentored graduates seamlessly transitioned from instructor at AFTA to role at this leading private aviation company.
In 2025, AFTA celebrates its 30th anniversary. To mark this milestone, the academy is hosting the AFTA 23/24 Graduation & 30-Year Anniversary Ball at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Little Island, Cork, on March 30, 2025.
