Aer Lingus Regional operated by Aer Arann had its first ATR72-600 visit on Shannon Airport last Saturday 12th October operating a charter flight for Munster’s Rugby Team.
This was the first of the aircraft type to Shannon Airport.
According to website Flightradar24.com EI-FAS ATR72-600 construction number 1083 routed Dublin-Edinburgh-Cork-Shannon as REA12P/4012/4013, prior to positioning back to Dublin as REA013P following Munster’s match against Edinburgh in their opening pool five clash.
In September 2009 Aer Arann teamed with Munster Rugby as the official airline of the team in a new sponsorship arrangement.
Aer Lingus Regional operates daily flights between Shannon and Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester.
