Aer Lingus introduced its brand-new Airbus A321XLR on the Dublin-Bradley International (BDL) route, marking the first time the airline has deployed its latest fuel-efficient, long-range aircraft on this service. The inaugural flight, EIN131/0, operated by EI-XLR (msn 11590), landed in Connecticut on Saturday, March 1, 2025, according to Flightradar24.
Since entering service, the Airbus A321XLR has proven its versatility, enabling Aer Lingus the flexibility to operate across a wide range of North American routes. The A321XLR has served Cleveland, New York JFK, Toronto, and Washington Dulles.
Announcing 2024 Full Year results, IAG stated “The A321XLR allows profitable point-to-point access to secondary cities in North America.” with Aer Lingus to launch two new routes to Indianapolis from 3 May, 2025 and Nashville from 12 April, 2025 both four times weekly.
