2025 marks a significant milestone for Aer Lingus, as the airline celebrates its tenth year of partnership with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU). Aer Lingus has been the official airline for the IRFU, providing essential travel support for both the men’s and women’s rugby teams during their Six Nations campaigns and other key tournaments.

As part of the partnership, Aer Lingus plays a vital role in flying the teams to away matches across Europe. This year, the airline will transport the Ireland men’s team to their highly anticipated Six Nations fixtures in Scotland, Wales, and Italy. The team will fly to Edinburgh on February 9th for their clash with Scotland, to Cardiff on February 22nd for a showdown against Wales, and finally to Rome on March 15th to face Italy.

Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer Susanne Carberry, said “Ireland rugby fans are expected to travel in their thousands to support the Ireland men’s team in one of this year’s most exciting sporting events. At Aer Lingus, we are proud say ‘You’re very welcome’ to the team’s dedicated supporters who bring #HomeAdvantage to the team’s away games. As we enter the tenth year of our partnership with the IRFU, we wish the team, management, coaches and our ambassadors Caelan, Robbie, Tadhg and Josh the best of luck and we look forward to welcoming them on-board.”

To further support travelling fans, Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Emerald Airlines, have announced additional flights for key Six Nations fixtures. Extra services from Dublin to Cardiff, along with flights from Cork Airport to Bristol, will make it easier for supporters to travel to Principality Stadium to cheer on the team. Fans can also take advantage of flights from Dublin and Cork to Edinburgh for the upcoming match against Scotland.
