The International Airlines Group (IAG) announcing its half year results 2024 to the six months to 30 June, had nine new aircraft deliveries, including six Airbus narrowbody aircraft and three Boeing and Airbus widebodies. These were delivered to Aer Lingus, British Airways and Iberia.
The two new Airbus A320neo aircraft will be part of Aer Lingus’ shorthaul fleet, predominantly operating Ireland to London Heathrow routes and European network.

EI-NSF Airbus A320-251N msn 12117 named ‘St Canera’ delivered to Dublin 21 June entering service 2 July operating EIN174/5 to and from London Heathrow.
Today, the A320neo is capable of operating with a 50% SAF blend and Airbus is committed up to 100% SAF and intends to have this capability by 2030.
The A320neo are Airbus’ Sharklets 2.4-metre-tall wingtip devices are standard on NEO aircraft, and result in up to 4% reduced fuel burn over longer sectors, corresponding to an annual reduction in CO2 emissions of around 900 tonnes per aircraft.
