Ryanair announced significant expansion at its Milan Bergamo, Pisa Florence and Rome Ciampino bases for Summer 2013 launching 12 new routes, as the carrier plans to grow by 10% in Italy this year to 24 million passengers.
In Milan Bergamo it will operate a total of 80 routes including four new routes to Catania, Ireland West Knock Airport, Kalamata and Malta with almost 1,000 weekly flights delivering 7 million passengers per annum.
In Pisa Florence it will operate a total of 49 routes including four new routes to Leipzig, Nuremberg, Targu Mures and Warsaw with 490 weekly flights delivering 2.7 million passengers per annum.
In Rome Ciampino it will operate 49 routes including four new routes to Bremen, Cuneo, Corfu and Fez with 490 weekly flights operating a total of 50 routes for the Summer delivering 4.2 million passengers per annum and has deferred the launch of five new routes to North Africa due to the lack of available slots.
The carrier has re-instated seasonal routes from Milan Bergamo to Cork Airport and Ireland West Knock Airport operating twice weekly from 29th March and 31st March, also has dropped the Pisa Florence to Cork route operated in Summer 2012.
