Ryanair announced a new route from Karlstad to Tenerife South route operating weekly on Fridays from 1st November, as part of it’s expanded winter programme from Tenerife South in Winter 2013.
The route will operated by a Tenerife South based aircraft.
In addition Ryanair operates a seasonal twice weekly service to Barcelona Girona. In 2012 it carried over 30,000 passengers on the route with 20% of the passengers Spanish inbound tourists to Karlstad.
Ryanair Sales & Marketing Director Nordic and Baltic countries Elina Hakkarainen said “We are very pleased with the development of the Barcelona line, so now we are expanding cooperation with Karlstad with another route.”
Karlstad is a city, the seat of Karlstad Municipality, the capital of Värmland County, and the largest city in the province Värmland in Sweden, is often associated with sunshine and the symbol for Karlstad is a smiling sun. Karlstad is reputed to be one of the sunniest towns in Sweden.
