Due to time constraints I had to delay this post apologies for delay.
Norwegian Air Shuttle has taken delivery of it’s third Boeing 787-8 EI-LNC construction number 34795 Line number 136 Hex code 4CAB4D on 27th November routing Paine Field to Oslo.
EI-LNC operated it’s first revenue service on 30th November as NAX7201/2 from Oslo to and from Bangkok.
The aircraft’s first flight was on Friday 1st November 2013.
Unlike EI-LNB which was delivered via Dublin for painting prior entering revenue service EI-LNC entered service in basic Norwegian Air Shuttle colours.
Norwegian currently has three Boeing 787-8 in operation and another five on order.
On 18th December the carrier further expanded it’s Boeing 787 with the announcement it’s to acquire two Boeing 787-9s from New York-based lessor MG Aviation and are due to enter service in the first quarter of 2016.
The 787-9 is a stretch version of the -8 with longer range and with space for up to 20% more seats in Norwegian’s configuration and continues to negotiate for further aircraft of the same type.
Norwegian Air Shuttle continues to grow its 787 route network with the annoucement of a new weekly Bergen to New York JFK route commencing 9th May 2014.
