AWAS announces promotion of two tenured professionals into key leadership positions
AWAS announced that it has promoted two seasoned professionals into key commercial leadership positions. Jennifer Moulton has been promoted to Managing Director EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) within the Commercial Team. Jennifer was previously Senior Vice President EMEA, having joined AWAS in 2000 from Morgan Stanley’s aircraft group. She will report directly to Marlin Dailey, AWAS Chief Commercial Officer.
AWAS delivers third of four planned new A320 passenger aircraft to long-time customer VivaAerobus
AWAS announced that it has delivered the third of four planned new A320 passenger aircraft to its customer, VivaAerobus, purchasing the aircraft the airline had previously ordered from the manufacturer and then placing it with them on a long term lease. The delivery of this new A320s from a PLB deal agreed in 2015 is part of the rollover of the VivaAerobus fleet into an all-A320 operator. VivaAerobus will now operate five AWAS A320 aircraft. These aircraft will help the airline further reduce costs so they can continue to offer lower fares, improved reliability, punctuality and a superior overall passenger experience.
AWAS delivers to VietJet additional new A320 passenger aircraft on lease
AWAS announced that it has delivered to Vietjet the second of two planned new A320 passenger aircraft in 2016 to assist with the airlines’ rapid growth. AWAS has provided a financing solution for these two aircraft and has placed them on long- term leases with the airline. This marks the fourth transaction between the parties for a total of eight new passenger aircraft, a mix of A320s and A321s sourced from both VietJet’s and AWAS’ direct order pipeline.
GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers Four New Leased Boeing 737-800s to Hainan Airlines
GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS) announced delivery of four new leased Boeing 737-800 aircraft, powered by CFM56 engines, to Hainan Airlines to expand the carrier’s fleet. The aircraft were part of GECAS’ existing order book with Boeing.
Kahala Aviation Announces Several 737 Classic Freighter Transactions
Kahala Aviation Group Ltd announced the following transactions relating to its 737 Classic freighter portfolio: Lease of 737-300F MSN 27459 to Texel Air WLL. and Sale of sale of 737-300F MSN 27460 and Sale of 737-400F MSN 25372 to West Atlantic Group.
