The Boeing 737MAX has made a return to Dublin Airport with YR-MXA MSN 43309 Boeing 737 MAX 8 Blue Air operating BLA155/6 on Sunday 7th April 2021 (Easter Sunday) becoming the first 737 MAX to operate a service to Dublin since EASA and IAA ground order was lifted in late January. The aircraft touched down at 1757 local departing at 1916 local.
The aircraft YR-MXA is the first of ten new Boeing 737-8s confirmed to deliver to Blue Air from Air Lease Corporation (ALC) order book with Boeing. A further nine new 737-8 aircraft will follow are scheduled to deliver to Blue Air April 2021 through 2022.

The Boeing 737MAX forms a key part of Blue Air’s “The Better Way to Fly” with the carrier to accelerate its fleet renewal strategy phase out the Boeing 737 classic and ensure long-term competitiveness benefiting from the 737 MAX 16% reduction in carbon emissions and fuel consumption.
