The Ryanair Group has taken received its 90th Boeing 737 MAX with the delivery of EI-IGF Boeing 737-8200 msn 67074 Ryanair DAC ‘Ryanair 82F’ from Boeing Field to Dublin this afternoon (Saturday 18th February 2023) touching down at 1447 local. The group has a further 120 outstanding aircraft from its order book of 210 units to be delivered during fiscal years 2023 to 2025.
Speaking on Ryanair Holdings plc (RYAAY) Q3 2023 Earnings Call Group CEO Michael O’Leary stated “Boeing is “doing better” on 737 Max production, having “clipped up” the pace in January now taking 9 weeks to produce each Max ” and may improve to eight-and-a-half,” down from 10 week .Target is 8 weeks for production.
The Ryanair Group 2022 Annual Report stated “The basic price (equivalent to a standard list price for an aircraft of this type) for each of the Boeing 737-8200 series aircraft under the 2014 Boeing Contract is approximately US$102.5m” further adding “Boeing has granted Ryanair certain price concessions as part of the 2014 Boeing Contract.
As a result, the “effective price” (the purchase price of the new aircraft net of discounts received from Boeing) of each new aircraft will be significantly below the basic price mentioned above. The effective price applies to all new aircraft delivering from fiscal year 2022 through to fiscal year 2025.”
Dublin based Ryanair DAC is the largest 737 MAX in the group with 44 aircraft followed by Malta Air with 33 aircraft and Warsaw based Buzz operates 13 aircraft. Ryanair UK operates a B737NG fleet.
