Ireland West Airport welcomed the announcement by Ryanair, of a new weekly Thursday service to Tenerife South, commencing on 2 November 2023, restoring connectivity for the first time since January 2020.
This return of the Tenerife route will provide a major boost for the airport and holidaymakers across the West, Northwest and Midlands regions of Ireland, offering sunshine throughout the year and the winter months are hugely popular with visitors.
Ireland West Airport Managing Director Joe Gilmore, said “Tenerife has always been a hugely popular destination amongst our customer base and we are delighted to be able to welcome Tenerife back to our route network for this coming winter season. This will no doubt be great news for holidaymakers who enjoy the unbeatable year-round sun that Tenerife has to offer.”
Ryanair re-commenced a weekly service to Lanzarote as part of the carrier’s biggest ever summer schedule to 16 destinations across the UK and Europe, operating 120 weekly flights, a 15% increase on 2022.
