Emerald Airlines, exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional services is recommencing its service to Brest, while also introducing a new seasonal service to Rennes, Brittany due to popular market demand.
Brest Bretagne Airport Director Claude Arphexad said “We are very pleased with the renewal of this service as it is part of the continuity of our efforts to develop mobility between our territory and major European cities. We thank Aer Lingus and Emerald Airlines for continuing this commitment with us.”
Emerald Airlines Head of Commercial Ian Lough said “We are delighted to be welcoming back flights from Dublin to Brest and Rennes. Building on the customer demand from Summer 2023, we anticipate a warm reception for these flights from both the Irish and French communities. This revival reflects our commitment to meeting the travel needs of our passengers and further strengthening the connectivity between Ireland and France.”

Rennes Bretagne airport is delighted to be able to bring Ireland and Brittany together again and to offer its passengers the experience of a trip across the Channel, ideal for a city break, a business seminar or a stay longer.”
- Dublin-Brest x 2 weekly Tuesday, Saturday from 4th May to 22nd October.
- Dublin-Rennes x 2 weekly Friday, Saturday from 1st May to 23rd October.
Last year Emerald Airlines operated a short scheduled between Dublin and Rennes to facilitate fans travelling to Paris for Rugby World Cup.
Aer Lingus regional flights are operated by ATR72-600, the latest generation of turboprop aircraft combining environmental and economic performance. The 72-seat ATR 72-600 offers a significant environmental advantage over regional jets and other turboprops, with 40% lower CO2 emissions.
Brittany, France’s northwesternmost region, is a hilly peninsula extending out toward the Atlantic Ocean. Its lengthy, rugged coastline is dotted with beach resorts such as chic Dinard and walled Saint-Malo, built on rock in the English Channel. The Pink Granite Coast is famed for its unusual, blush-hued sand and rocks. Brittany is known for its abundant prehistoric menhirs.
