The Joint Chief Executive Officer at Flughafen Wien – Vienna Airport Julian Jäger in an Linkedin post Wednesday 20 March, announced Vienna Airport in collaboration with Ryanair has optimized ramp processes similar to a Formula 1 pit stop in “Left First” project.
The new process enables the carrier achieve 25 minute turnaround times, as the ramp team is focused on ensuring that the passenger doors opens as quickly as possible so that passengers can deboard, each task of turnaround through team collaboration is perfectly synchronized as the process is optimized to save 6 minutes off turnaround time.
Ryanair has 19 based aircraft based in Vienna and will be operating to a total of up to 80 destinations in Summer 2024 adding Olbia, Rijeka, Tirana and Split to route network.
