Ryanair (Wednesday, March 26) celebrated a historic milestone, welcoming its 200 millionth passenger for the 2024/2025 calendar year. The honor went to 84-year-old Maria Cornelia Vos, who traveled from Fuerteventura to Madrid, landing at 12:35 local time. This achievement marks a new record for Ryanair, making it the first European airline to carry 200 million passengers within a single year.

Ryanair’s CEO Michael O’Leary said “We are delighted to welcome Mrs. Maria Cornelia Vos as our 200 millionth passenger this year. Ryanair is proud to have carried 200M passengers in 2024/2025 and we are pleased that these 200M passengers have saved on average €5billion, compared to the average air fares of our competitor airlines.”

The Ryanair Group operates a fleet of 612 aircraft, including 71 under Buzz, 26 with Lauda Europe, 179 with Malta Air, 321 with Ryanair DAC, and 15 with Ryanair UK, across 26 countries and 230 airports operating 3,600 daily flights.
