In an X Post aviation analyst, Sean M reported on a presentation Royal Jordanian outlined plans to expand its long-haul network over the next five years, with the addition of 11 new destinations across Asia, Europe, and North America. Notably, the airline intends to launch new routes from its Amman hub to Beijing (PEK) and Dublin (DUB) in 2026.
This development aligns with earlier reports by Travel Extra Editor Eoghan Corry, who in an interview with DAA CEO Kenny Jacobs, highlighted that Royal Jordanian, alongside other carriers such as Breeze Airways, EasyJet, Ethiopian Airlines, Jet2, and Wizz Air, had been unable to return or start new services to Dublin due to a slot cap at the airport.
Currently operating a fleet of seven Boeing 787-8 aircraft, Royal Jordanian has six additional Boeing 787-9 Deamliners on order. The larger 787-9s, which can carry up to 296 passengers with a range of up to 14,010 km (7,565 nautical miles), will allow the airline to further enhance its global network.
