On 26-29th June N277GX Airbus A321-231 msn 2480 GlobalX Airlines operating under callsign ‘Gemini 902/3’ carried out an FAA North Atlantic Tracks authorization proving flight to Shannon Airport routing Miami-Bangor-Keflavik-Shannon and returning on same routing.
The aircraft is operated in 183 seat configuration featuring 12 Business Class, 22 Premium Economy and 149 Economy class seats.
Global Crossing is a U.S. 121 domestic flag and supplemental airline flying the Airbus A320 family aircraft, proving charter airlift for major airlines under ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance), tour operators, professional and collegiate sports teams, casinos, and corporate groups. It will also operate direct to consumer charters under its own Part 380, charter airline serving the domestic market, Caribbean and Latin American markets.
The carrier operates a fleet of 7 Airbus (A320) and 1 Airbus (A321) and Q3 plans to add two A319 and one A321 aircraft from two bases at Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) and Miami International Airport (MIA). Subject to DOT and FAA approvals GlobalX will enter ACMI cargo service flying the A321 freighter.
