Loganair announced to celebrate the first anniversary of the Aberdeen to Dublin route the carrier is to deploy its ATR72-600 aircraft on the route effective from 31 October upgauging from a mix of Saab 340B and ERJ-145 aircraft, offering almost 50,000 seats on the route.
The ATR72-600 has the lowest fuel burn of any regional aircraft on both a cost per trip and a per seat basis, with fuel consumption at 0.026/seat per 100 km and emits 6.3 kilograms of CO2 per seat (26 pouds per seat per 100 nm), with less noise footprint three times less compared to jet aircraft.

Loganair is the UK’s fifth largest airline by number of flights, operating 44 aircraft on a network covering over 40 destinations in the UK and Europe. In addition to its scheduled services, the airline operates contract and charter services for several large companies across the distribution, oil & gas and airline wet-lease sectors.
