A rare visit of an Boeing 747-400 aircraft took place at Dublin Airport 3 April as PH-CKA Boeing 747-406F(ER) KLM Cargo callsign ‘MPH6122’ operated by Martinair Cargo routed Miami (MIA)-Dublin (DUB)-Amsterdam (AMS).
According to Flightradar24 prior to visiting Dublin aircraft routed 2 April from its Amsterdam base (AMS) to Miami (MIA) and onwards to Bogota (BOG), Colombia prior to returning to Miami (MIA).
The Boeing 747-400ERF (Extended Range Freighter) is the freight version of the -400ER, launched in 2001. The Boeing 747-400ERF is similar to the 747-400F, except for increased gross weight capability which allows it to carry more payload with a range of 5,700 miles (9,200 km) at maximum payload.
As of March 2024, there were 46 passenger and 213 cargo versions of the Boeing 747-400 in operation worldwide. Schiphol based KLM Cargo operates a fleet of three Boeing 747-406F(ER) aircraft registered PH-CKA, PH-CKB and PH-CKC.
