AerCap CEO doesn’t expect US election to hit aviation industry
AerCap does not believe the result of the US presidential election will disrupt growth for the aviation industry. This is because of the resilience of travel demand to other shocks in recent years, its CEO said today. “What we do know is that over last two and a half years, we’ve faced an awful lot of global shocks – Ebola, Zika, the downturn in Brazil, the attempted coup in Turkey, Brexit,” said CEO Aengus Kelly.
SMBC Aviation Capital signs Airbus A320-200 lease deal with Ural Airlines
SMBC Aviation Capital announced that it has signed a lease with Ural Airlines for an Airbus A320-200 aircraft with Manufacturer’s Serial Number 2947. The aircraft will be delivered to Ural Airlines at the end of this month and will bring the number of aircraft placed on-lease by SMBC Aviation Capital with Ural to seven.
SMBC Aviation Capital delivers Airbus A321-200 to Volaris
SMBC Aviation Capital is pleased to announce that it has delivered an Airbus A321-200 aircraft bearing manufacturer’s serial number 7368 to Volaris. This is SMBC Aviation Capital’s 12th aircraft on lease to the airline and this specific aircraft is the 1st aircraft of a two (2) aircraft deal. The transaction was completed at the Airbus facility in Hamburg on 31st October 2016.
Stellwagen Announces Its Acquisition By Acasta Enterprises Inc. For US$270 Million
Stellwagen Group and Acasta Enterprises Inc., a Toronto, Canada based public company announced that the Parties have entered into definitive agreements by which Acasta would acquire Stellwagen for approximately US$270 million plus future consideration contingent on the operating performance of Stellwagen over the next three to five years, and will commit to investing US$100 million into Stellwagen Capital’s Senior Loan Company or another strategic investment. These agreements are subject to certain conditions, including regulatory approval and approval by Acasta’s shareholders.
