Hainan Airlines headquartered in Haikou resumed its direct Dublin to Beijing Capital International Airport service effective from 2 April operating twice weekly on Tuesday and Saturday using two class 292 seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft. From June service increases to four times weekly with extra services added on Wednesday and Sunday using Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
As China and Ireland continue to deepen their economic and diplomatic ties, the China government announced it will grant visa-free treatment to Irish citizens holding ordinary passports traveling to China for business, tourism, family visit or transit purposes with the duration not exceeding 15 days, are eligible for visa-free entry, until November 30th, 2024.
China is Ireland’s fourth-largest trading partner, the fifth-largest market for goods exports, and the seventh-largest destination for service exports. Moreover, China is the largest overseas market for Irish infant formula and pork exports.
