Emirates carried more than 450,000 passengers on its popular twice daily Dublin-Dubai route during 2023, marking one of its most successful years operating out of Ireland and is is already a record-breaking start to 2024 both in load factor and revenue terms.
Dublin is one of the top performing routes globally for Emirates with a double daily service to Dubai and beyond with top destinations for 2024 being Australia, Vietnam, The Indian Ocean, Maldives, South Africa and Bali topping the list of favourites for Emirates passengers from Ireland.
In fact, Emirates named Australia as its top international destination from Ireland, as thousands of passengers headed down under for holidays, one- and two-year work visas and to visit family and friends (VFR) last year. Sydney, Melbourne and Perth were the most visited Australian cities by Irish passengers.
Emirates carries a number of Irish products onboard for passengers to enjoy in selected classes including Butlers Chocolates, Keogh’s Crisps and Killowen Yogurt and VOYA adding to the passenger experience.
A very exciting year is ahead for Emirates as first of sixty five Airbus A350-900 aircraft is currently under production at Hamburg-Finkenwerder due for delivery in Q3. Further details on cabin configuration and route network deployment on sectors of up to 15 hours from Dubai are awaited.
