Ireland’s newest regional airline Emerald Airlines added the sixth of twelve ATR72’s to its growing fleet as EI-GZY ATR72-212A(600) msn 1471 was delivered Toulouse/Francazal-Exeter-Dublin on 8-9th April in full Aer Lingus colours.
The aircraft entered revenue service on 13th April from Dublin (DUB) to Isle of Man (IOM) as EAI16NJ/EAI17NQ according to Flightradar24.com data.
According to Planespotters.net the aircraft was formely registered as OY-YCE to Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC).
Aer Lingus Regional, operated exclusively by Emerald Airlines, countinues to build its Dublin route network having commenced Newcastle International on 15 April operating five times weekly and Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) on 23 April operating double daily. Emerald has also established an airline company in Northern Ireland (Emerald Airlines UK Ltd) and has applied to the UK CAA for a UK AOC and Operating Licence.
