EI-EIL Airbus A330-302 msn 893 Aer Lingus named ‘St. MacDara’ was ferried Nimes to Dublin on Wednesday 16th March as ‘Shamrock 2535’ landing 1200 local after storage. The aircraft perviously operated by Qatar Airways as A7-AEM.
Aer Lingus acquired two former Qatar Airways EI-EIK msn 789 ex A7-AEH and EI-EIL Airbus A330-301 msn 893 ex A7-AEM in Spring 2020, pre covid to boost North Atlantic capacity and where stored in Nimes and Cuidad Real airport respectively pending entry to service.
Aer Lingus continues to re-build its North Atlantic Hub at Dublin progressively reinstating routes and adding frequencies as both Los Angeles (LAX) and Philadelphia (PHL) resume daily from 11th May and Seattle (SEA) fives times weekly from 25th May. Miami (MIA) route three times weekly from 25th October. On existing routes Boston (BOS) increases to 14 times weekly from 27th March and Chicago increases to 12 times weekly from 9th April.
