On 7th July, after a 28 month suspension, Aer Lingus resumed flights between Dublin and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft, five times weekly from the two cities. The first flight was operated by EI-GAJ Airbus A330-302 msn 1791.
Aer Lingus now operates a total of 14 routes from its Dublin North Atlantic Hub with daily direct flights between Ireland and West Coast USA to LAX and San Francisco.
Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer Susanne Carberry stated “We are delighted to announce the Seattle route restart after a pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Seattle has so much to offer both business and leisure travellers and we look forward to welcoming customers on board the route again. Aer Lingus is the only carrier connecting customers to the West Coast of USA with daily flights, reaffirming our commitment to building our transatlantic connections”.
SEA was named the 2022 World Airport Awards winner of the Best Airport in North America. The survey evaluates the customer experience across every step in the passenger journey from check in, arrivals, connections, shopping, security screening and customs, to departure at the gate.
