Air Astana has taken delivery of its first new Irish registered Airbus A321LR EI-KGG msn 10421 ex D-AVZQ the aircraft arrived at Nur- Sultan International Airport from the Airbus in Hamburg on Friday 3rd December.
President & CEO of Air Astana Peter Foster said “With its improved range, lower emissions and outstanding two-class configuration, including a 16 lie-flat seat Business Class cabin, the aircraft has proven to be immensely popular with customers and crews alike.”
The Airbus A321LR is powered by the Pratt & Whitney PW1133G, which reduce fuel consumption by 20%, maintenance costs by 5%, carbon emissions by 20% and noise levels by 50% compared with Boeing 757-200.
The Airbus A321LR is configured with 16 lie-flat seats in Business class and 150 seats in Economy class, with all seats equipped with individual screens.
The Airbus A321LR fleet operates across the airline’s international network, with destinations including Colombo (Sri Lankan), Dubai (UAE), Frankfurt (Germany), Istanbul (Turkey), London Heathrow (UK), Podgorica (Montenegro) and Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt).
The Air Astana group operates a fleet of 36 aircraft comprising 15 Airbus A320/A320neo, 13 Airbus A321/A321neo/A321LR, three Boeing 767 and five Embraer E190-E2, with the total including nine A320 and one A320 neo with LCC division, FlyArystan.
