Emerald Airlines, exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional commenced new routes from its Dublin hub to Aberdeen and Southampton operating daily using ATR72-600 aircraft, complementing its existing service from Belfast City Airport.
The first flights where operated by EI-GZW msn 1464 to Aberdeen and EI-FAT msn 1097 to Southampton.
The carrier will compete against Loganair on Aberdeen route and Eastern Airways on Southampton route.
Emerald Airlines Head of Commercial Ciarán Smith, said “We are very pleased to be operating this route between Aberdeen and Dublin. With convenient timings and cost-effective flights, we strongly believe this service will be warmly welcomed by both business and leisure travellers.”

Southampton Airport Operations Director Steve Szalay, said “This is brilliant news and we welcome this additional service from Aer Lingus Regional’s operator Emerald Airlines, which will complement the Belfast City service launched by the airline in July this year.”
