TAAG Angola Airlines received its 2nd Airbus A220-300 (D2-TAF, msn 55334) with “50 Years of Angolan Independence” logo, as part of its 2024-2029 expansion. The aircraft routed Montreal-Dublin-Faro-Luanda (12-14 March 2025).

The aircraft , using flight number DT67 arrived Dublin from Montreal on 12 March at 1709 local and departed to Faro at 1805 local. The 137 seat aircraft, features 12 Business, 35 Premium Economy, 90 Economy seats.

In an Linkedin post TAAG stated “The model landed on Angolan soil on Friday, March 14, at Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto International Airport. The symbolic ceremony to welcome the aircraft was attended by the Secretary of State for the Civil Aviation, Maritime, and Port sectors, Rui Carreira, TAAG’s Board Members, namely the Chairman, António dos Santos Domingos, the CEO, Nelson Rodrigues de Oliveira, as well as other staff from the company and the ecosystem. Highlights include the symbolic blessing of the aircraft by church representatives, and the company naming the aircraft D2-TAF ‘Long’.”

TAAG Angola Airlines currently operates one Airbus A220-300, five Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range) aircraft, three Boeing 777-200ERs, and seven Next-Generation 737s, and one Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, connecting Angola to 12 destinations across Africa, Europe, South America and China.
