Aer Lingus Minneapolis St. Paul (MSP) route resumed from Dublin Airport for the first time since it was paused in March 2020 on Monday 30 April operated by EI-DUZ Airbus A330-302 msn 0847. The MSP restart marks the full restoration of the airline’s pre-pandemic North American network.
To meet the strong demand of this highly anticipated route restart, service operates year-round four times weekly (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays) using Airbus A330-200/300 aircraft. Currently, almost half of booked passengers from MSP to DUB plan to connect at Dublin, with top destinations including London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Barcelona, and Berlin.
Aer Lingus will operate from Terminal 1 at Minneapolis St. Paul (MSP). For golf fans Terminal 1 is home to PGA Lounge located near Gate E featuring 6 golf simulators, private lounge, full food & beverage service, putting green & Wi-Fi.
Aer Lingus Chief Strategy and Planning Officer, Reid Moody said “Aer Lingus is delighted to welcome the return of Minneapolis-St. Paul to our North American route network. The re-introduction of this route marks the airline’s full restoration of our pre-pandemic North American network and serves as testament to this commitment. Minneapolis-St Paul is a significant business destination within the US and we look forward to once again facilitating corporate links and connectivity between Europe and North America, through our Dublin Hub.”
Dublin Airport Managing Director Gary McLean said the restart of the route is good news for both passengers and the economy “The return of this route will further enhance tourism and trade between Ireland and the US. We have been working closely with Aer Lingus to grow its North American business, and the reintroduction of this route is a testament to that partnership.”
The MSP route was previously flown on a 177-seat Boeing 757 operated by ASL Airlines on behalf of Aer Lingus between 1 July 2019 and 29 March 2020. In winter 2024 the route will transition to new two class 184 seat Airbus A321XLR aircraft.
