Dublin Airport 28 March officially launched its Summer 24 schedule to over 170 destinations around the world in China, Europe, Middle East, North America offering more than 2,600 flights per week on offer from its 45 airline partners.
Almost half of the 1,400 weekly flights on offer over the coming months will be to 125 cities and summer holiday hotspots around Europe.
Dublin Airport is offering convenient direct access to the USA to 20 destinations with over 210 weekly flights to cities including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle – as well as Denver, a brand new US destination for 2024 commencing 17th May.
Dublin based Aer Lingus ranks fourth in the world in terms of the breadth of its long-haul network serving key US gateways and is the fifth largest European carrier based on the number of seats on offer between the US and Europe.
Key Highlights include:
New Airlines
• Dan Air launched its new service between Dublin and Bacau in December 2023 and this will be its first summer operating at Dublin Airport, flying three times per week to Bacau using Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
• JetBlue launched daily Airbus A321Neo service to New York and Boston from 14 March.
New & Resuming Routes
• Aer Lingus’ new service to Denver with four flights per week using Airbus A330-200 and Minneapolis St Paul resumes from April 29th four times a week using Airbus A330-200 aircraft. New European routes Catania three times per week, Dalaman twice per week and Heraklion twice per week commencing in April and May using Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
• Delta’s new route to Minneapolis St Paul, flying daily using Boeing 767-300(ER) aircraft.
• WestJet to Toronto (daily) and Halifax four times per week using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
Route Capacity and Frequency increases
• Finnair is increasing its daily Helsinki service to ten flights per week using Airbus A320 family and Embraer 190 aircraft.
• Hainan Airlines is increasing its service between Dublin and Beijing in China from twice to four times per week (during the peak summer period) using Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
• Widerøe Airlines is increasing its Bergen service to three flights per week using Embraer 195E-2 aircraft .
• Sun Express is increasing its Izmir service to daily flights (during the peak period) and its route to Antalya will operate three times per week (during the peak period) using Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
• Qatar Airways is increasing capacity on its Doha route from Boeing 787-8 to Boeing 787-9 offering an additional 54 seats per aircraft.
