The first phase of the arrangement is now available for sale on the airline’s website aerlingus.com with a choice of destinations including Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Muscat and Bahrain. The second phase is expected to be launched in the near future offering customers a greater choice of destinations across the Etihad network to points including Australia, Asia-Pacific, the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East.

In addition, Etihad will cooperate with Aer Lingus on services to a total of 18 destinations, including Dublin to New York, Boston, London Heathrow, Amsterdam, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Lisbon.
Etihad and Aer Lingus continue to discuss additional commercial and cost opportunities to develop a closer working relationship in areas such as joint procurement.

The Aer Lingus CEO Christoph Mueller said, “Today marks a significant milestone in our development. The partnership with Etihad will give our customers greater access to the Middle East and beyond, with the added benefit of a seamless booking experience. We are excited by the potential of the partnership and look forward to extending our offering in the near future.”

Aer Lingus has set up a dedicated page outling the partnership agreement with Etihad Airways.
