Portuguese start-up, Windavia is to launch a new weekly service from Funchal to Dublin operating weekly on Sundays,from 13th April to 5th October using Airbus A320 aircraft, restoring the connection to Madeira previously operated by SATA Air Azores.
The flight departs Funchal at 0730 arrives Dublin 1105 and departs Dublin 1155 arriving Funchal 1535.
The airline was promoting its new service at the Holiday World Show in RDS this weekend.
The charter is consolidated of behalf of Concorde Travel, Sunway, Topflight, Travel Department.
Windavia will initially operate four Airbus A320s on ACMI specialists White Aviation AOC from bases in Paris, Lisbon and Funchal and has already provided more than 4.000 flights, contracted with several national and international operators.
Latvian carrier SmartLynx will provide Windavia with two Airbus A320s.
The airline plans to carry 800,000 passengers on routes to Athens, Cyprus, Djerba, Dublin, Fuerteventura, Jersey, Montenegro, Palma, Paris, Tel Aviv.
