Did you know that 19 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft have visited Dublin Airport since the first aircraft N787BX on Boeing Dream Tour back in January 2012. Today Dublin has a three times weekly Boeing 787 Dreamliner service with Ethiopian Airlines operating Addis Abba to Dublin and onwards to Los Angeles.
In Summer 2016 Thomson Airways will launch a new charter programme from Dublin to Cancun and Montego Bay for in-house brands Falcon Holidays and Thomson.
It’s anticipated American Airlines and Eithad Airways will commence Boeing 787 Dreamliner services to Dublin in coming years as they refresh their fleets.
Last month Boeing reached another program milestone when it delivered the 300th Dreamliner. According to Boeing , nearly 55 million passengers have flown on 787s across the globe. That’s 294,000 revenue departures, 1.5 million revenue flight hours and 659 million revenue miles flown, saving airlines 2.5 billion pounds of fuel.
Boeing has 1,095 Boeing 787 Dreamliners orders on it’s book with 304 delivered to date with unfilled deliveries outstanding of 791 aircraft.
