Loganair marked the first anniversary of its Aberdeen-Dublin route on 30 October with passengers offered Tunnock’s Teacake and the gift of a free flight on their next trip from Aberdeen to Dublin using the carrier’s Clan Points loyalty programme . The carrier operates six times weekly using ATR72-600 aircraft.
Loganair has been operating its Aberdeen – Dublin service since autumn 2021 and has flown almost 25,000 passengers on the route during that time using a mix of ATR72-600 aircraft and Embraer 135 & 145 aircraft according to demand and projects 50,000 seats on the route in the year ahead, almost twice as many as in its first year, reflecting the deployment of ATR72 capacity on the route.
Loganair Chief Commercial Officer Luke Lovegrove, said “Aberdeen – Dublin remains a key route for us and we are delighted that we can celebrate more than a year connecting business people, leisure travellers and loved ones in both cities.”
Loganair operates 15 ATR72 aircraft , including four ATR 72-600’s and four dedicated ATR72-500 Freighter aircraft and additional plans to add eight additional aircraft by Summer 2023, replacing Saab 340B’s, making Loganair one of the largest operators of ATRs in Europe.
ATR has delivered over 1,600 aircraft with more than 200 operators operating in over 100 countries, operating over 5,000 flights per day. Every eight seconds, an ATR takes off or lands somewhere around the world.
